Toyota RAV4

The Toyota RAV4 has been one of the best-selling SUVs in America since its debut in 1996, and it just went through its biggest change yet: a full sixth-generation redesign for 2026 that drops gas-only versions entirely in favor of hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The lineup now spans seven trims across three design families — Core, Rugged, and Sport — including a new performance-oriented GR SPORT grade. The standard hybrid system produces up to 236 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid version reaches 320 horsepower and an estimated 52 miles of all-electric range. All-wheel drive is available across the lineup, and every 2026 RAV4 gets Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 along with the brand's newer Arene-based infotainment system. The redesign also brings a stiffer platform with reinforced front and rear suspension mounting points for a quieter, more composed ride, and the standard hybrid model can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
